I built Inset to solve a problem I was having. I own a portfolio of internet businesses, mostly directory and content sites that generate decent traffic and revenue.
But not quite enough traffic to qualify for ad networks as most of them require at least 50k+ monthly pageviews.
I wanted to be able to promote my own products, run affiliate links, and occasionally place sponsored content across my sites.
My DIY solution was hard-coding a banner component into each site. It worked... until I needed to change the link or update the image.
Then I'd have to edit the code for every site, redeploy. Multiply that by 4-5 sites and it became a nightmare.
